Why “Just One Guard” Isn’t Always Enough: Educating Clients on Proper Coverage

Too often, clients ask for minimal coverage hoping to reduce costs — but this can actually increase risk and liability. At HawkEye Security Group, we believe in providing honest recommendations, even if it means walking away from contracts we can’t service properly.
The number of guards needed depends on several key factors: venue size, number of people, time of day, type of event, and known risks. For example, a nightclub with 200 guests requires different staffing than a quiet retail store after-hours.
Training is important — but so is giving guards the proper support and backup. You wouldn’t send one firefighter to a three-alarm blaze. The same applies to security.
